Alcohol? What's allowed? Is there a corkage fee?
Everything to do with the bar is completely up to you with no corkage fee! toonie bar? cash bar? open bar? You decide. You supply all alcohol as well as bartenders. We require that you have a liquor licence & PAL insurance.
Do I need to get insurance?
A $2 million PAL (party and alcohol liability) insurance policy is required. Cancellation insurance is encouraged but not required.
Can we have a winter wedding?
Because of the limitations of the tent we are a seasonal venue open from the middle of May to the middle of October but contact us if interested in off season outdoor ceremonies.
What decorations are not allowed?
Open flame, confetti, glitter and rice are not permitted.
Our caterers tent has a fridge and freezer that can both be used.
Is there a fridge or freezer?
How much is the deposit and what is the payment schedule?
We require a non-refundable deposit of $1000 to hold your date which will go towards your final total. The remaining money is due 180 days before your event. We also require a $2000 damage deposit 180 days before the event. This is refunded to you within 2 weeks after the wedding provided there are no damages to the property.
Will you hold my date?
We will hold your date for a week and after that a $1000 non-refundable deposit is required to save your date, this deposit will be put towards your final total.
What forms of payment do you take?
Cheque, Cash, E-tranfer or bank draft.
What is the cancellation policy?
The deposit for your date is non-refundable and once the final amount is paid 180 days prior to your event it is also non-refundable.
Do you do property tours?
Absolutely! Just call or email us at and we would love to schedule a time to show you our beautiful property.
Is there camping onsite?
No, but the city of Camrose is only 6 minutes away with all accommodations! Campsites and Hotels are included on our preferred vendor list.
Do you offer catering?
Catering is not included in any of our packages but we do include a list of caterers on our preferred vendor list.
Can we bring our own decorations?
Yes! You can bring your own decorations and you will be in charge of setting them up.
Can we use our own vendors?
Yes! We provide a list of preferred vendors but you are more than welcome to use any that you choose.
How do we book?
Just give us a call or email and we will gladly go over booking, available dates, the contract and the deposit. We are currently booking for 2020, 2021 & 2022.
Can the property be used for non-wedding photos?
Yes! Contact us for avilability and pricing! If you have a wedding booked please contact us and we can schedule a time for you to come for engagement photos with your photographer at no charge.
What are the directions?
Our address is 47143 Highway 21.
From Camrose go west on Highway 13 until you get to the traffic circle, go north towards Edmonton, travel on Highway 21 for 2.6 Km and turn right at the Hillside Acres sign onto township road 471a.
From Edmonton go south on Highway 21. We are unable to make left hand turns into the property so continue to the Highway 13 traffic circle exiting north travel 2.6 Km on Highway 21 and you will see the Hillside Acres sign on the right hand side turn right onto township road 471a.
Where is parking?
All parking is on site- there are signs to direct you for parking. Once you turn onto township road 471a the parking lot is the second left.
